Wow, my last post was depressing. Moving swiftly along then (and at a more upbeat pace), I just thought I’d bring you up to speed with some of the fine messes I’ve gotten myself into lately.
Firstly, here’s a review of the Morrissey gig in Galway that I reviewed for State: http://www.state.ie/morrissey-leisureland-galway/
Secondly, I’ll be packing my bags and jetting off to France and Denmark this summer to cover some music festivals for State. First port of call is Europavox in the French town of Clermont-Ferrand. I’ll be kept occupied (and entertained!) there from May 29th to June 1st. Then it’s off to the Roskilde Festival at the start of July for a week of camping, booze and loud rock ‘n’ roll. Check out www.State.ie for my daily updates from both events!

I’m scared of the future.
There, I said it.
Everyone around me seems to have it all figured out. They’re all going somewhere. But I don’t know where I’m going to end up, you see. I am without a gameplan, without a roadmap, without a clue. I wasn’t always like this, though: there was a time when I was going somewhere. At least, it felt like I was. But somewhere along the line my ambition, my determination, my goals just seemed to evaporate. It happened so quietly I didn’t even notice it.
It’s going to take a lot of soul searching to figure a way out of this godforsaken hole. A change of scenery may be in order too.

Argh! 2009 is almost one month old and I’ve still to post the first blog of the year. I really am being neglectful of this blog and for that I’m sorry. It’s just been hard to find the time to post to it. Hopefully I can pay it more attention in the very near future.
In the meantime, have a read of my review of Fighting With Wire’s Dublin show on State’s website.
Also, Keep an eye on State.ie for a review of God Is An Astronaut’s upcoming show at the Academy in Dublin.
